Economía circular
At Villas Gallery, we understand sustainable tourism as a way of respecting the place we inhabit. A way to care for today what we want to continue sharing tomorrow.
Our commitment to the environment translates into a conscious, efficient, and responsible hotel management model, designed to reduce our environmental footprint and protect the natural resources that surround us.
We work to minimize the use of non-renewable energies, promote recycling, integrate eco-design criteria into our processes, and foster a culture of environmental awareness, both within our team and in the community that hosts us.
Because preserving the destination is also part of the experience of being there.
Here are some of the actions we are undertaking:
- Circular Economy: We enhance the life cycle of our goods, products, and services by optimizing and extending their useful life. Furthermore, we practice sustainable use of resources and prevent waste generation by promoting the recycling of all types of materials and their controlled disposal: paper and cardboard, glass, oil, ink, batteries, plastic, furnishings, etc. We continue to work with organizations like BIOSCORE to improve sustainability and periodically incorporate new measures such as the use of biodegradable products in the cleaning of rooms and facilities.
- Zero Plastic: With measures such as the elimination of single-use plastic products, we have stopped consuming more than 8 million products annually in our accommodations, such as plastic straws. These measures improve the planet's health, preventing CO2 generation and millions of microplastics from reaching the oceans and ending up in the food chain.
- Energy efficiency control: We promote responsible energy use in all facilities, opting for natural light and LED lighting. We are immersed in an energy transition process with solar panels so that all our complexes can be self-sufficient and generate 0 impacts on the carbon footprint. We monitor and supervise the responsible use of lights, air conditioners, etc., in accordance with environmental regulations and recommendations.
- Healthy Food: We promote the use of fresh, local products and foods, or kilometer 0, reducing the transportation effect. Furthermore, we incorporate high-quality products for all types of diets into our catering: vegetarians, celiacs, intolerances... In addition, we encourage responsible consumption, avoiding food waste, in all our buffets and restaurants.
- Physical Exercise: We promote the use of elements such as bicycles or walking instead of taking a vehicle to try to mitigate climate change and the environmental footprint.
- Electric Chargers: We are working to implement chargers so you can recharge your electric car.
